If you switched from Windows to Mac and on Win you’ve used Total Commander you probably are looking for a similar program on Mac.

The answer for you is Disk Order, a very nice program that has the similar look and does the same things like Total Commander on Win, probably even more.

The things that I like at Disk Order is that you can compress and decompress .rar files on Mac. To decompress .rar files on mac you need special software, only .zip files can be automatically decompressed. I didn’t find any free software decompressing .rar files on mac, so Disk Order does this for me and I’ve happy with it.

You can also store your ftp sites and use it as a ftp manager easily. To store a ftp site, go to FTP Sites button, click on it and the click Configure. After that hit the + button and add your ftp details, just like on Windows. Cool right ?

muCommander is free and works perfect. Only diffs to ttlcommander so far I noticed is f2 functionality is missing and 'Open with' option never seems to work.
