Hey! I was working in the past 5 hours on a personal project, for me and my team from the ice skate park where I work as a day job. I wanted to create a film like poster with me and my colleagues from work. So after some photoshop modifications, I’ve cropped 5 images, that where me, and 4 of my friends. I’ve cropped only our faces, because for this project this was the only thing that I needed. The project is called Ice Dream Team, because the name of our ice skate park is “Ice Dream” from Iulius Mall Timisoara.
This is just a small thumb for the poster, please click on it to see the full image (1168 x 1700 px). The writing above our heads are our names. I’m in the middle, the one in the front, of course :) and the other ones are my work colleagues. The image that you see below our heads is the real Ice Skate park, combined with a sky full with clouds, blended together.
This wasn’t that hard to make, the only think that took time was our faces that needed to be touched a lot. I didn’t use cropping at all, I’ve just added a layer mask over each image layer, than with the layer mask selected I’ve set the foreground to black and started to paint with the paint brush tool. In this way you can easy regain back the image if you make something wrong, but if you use the eraser tool you can’t. How can you make something back ? Change the foreground color from black to white :)
I hope you like this poster I’ve made and I’m waiting for your feedback.

I’m reminded of a Gary Larson cartoon (Far Side) in which a child is terroised by a “Floating Head of Death”… In this instance, there are 5 “Floating Heads” (yeah, I’m not a fan of deepetched heads)..
As for the variation in skin tone from left to right, you should’ve colour corrected the images.
There is also an issue with the space between the letter “T” and “e” in the word “Team” – you should’ve kerned the letters (adjusted the spacing).
Also, if you’re intending to “copy write”, you need to pay attention to your brand values – This is the case with your use of the words “Dream” and “Team” – either capitalise the first letter, or don’t – whatever your decision make it consistant.
I like the image of the rink at the bottom, but surely you could’ve incorporated the “Floating Heads of Death” into the image, either as a reflection or watermark…
