Let that this post be a lesson to all of you and hope you don’t make the same mistake as I did.
As many of new visitors might not notice anything, most of my faithfull readers probably have seen that my latest blog post dates from 6th of June (wtf right?)
Why do you ask? 4 days ago the server where this blog is hosted had some problems, serious problems, the stats options from the server was activated and because I have lots of visitors it overloaded the server with over 120 Gigs of data and caused the server to crash, for good.
Ok, that wouldn’t be a problem if only the server crashes right? but all the databases where screwed up, my blog database, adidasi.us, wetubeforsports.com, and many more of my hosted website that had a sql database.
The only backup that I had was from 6th June 2008 (Thanks God for that), even if it’s 3 months old I thank God for the backup because if I hadn’t any backups you guess the answer…
I have lost the admin user, well – all users where lost, I have lost over 120 good posts, but I’m back online and with a lesson learned… I’ve installed the BackUpWordpress plugin that makes an automatic backup of the sql database EVERY DAY and sends it to my email, cool huh?
Don’t make the same mistake as I did, backup daily of install that beautifull plugin.
